After the tornado. This old church was completely demolished when the mortar gave way to winds exceeding 100 mph.
Low Visibility. As you can see, our ability to see through the downpour of rain made it difficult for to find landmarks and other known buildings that were pointed out to us.
Thankfully no one was inside the car when this mammoth tree was ripped from the ground during the high winds of the hurricane.
From A Distance. Standing back from the scene at Ground Zero, you can see that debris flew for many, many, many feet.

Trees were up rooted from the high winds and blew over easily because the ground was saturated.
Ground Zero Rehab. One of the many rehab areas found throughout the disaster site. Firefighters, construction workers and other volunteers take a well needed rest and reflect.
Fire Hoses. Thousands upon thousands of feet of fire hose were laid for city blocks to try and supply the needed equipment with ample water.
